Information about me:	I have been babysitting for many years. I used to be a toddler room "teacher" at a daycare, I was a nanny for one summer, and worked at my mother-in-laws in-home daycare. I also babysit from time to time for parents that used to come to the daycare.

How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	Depends on the age and the situation. If the child appears to be in pain (incessant crying) then I would call the parent to see what they would prefer I would do. Otherwise, I'm very patient and know how to give a child space when they need it, and when to engage them as well without causing further upset.
