Information about me:	My name is Jennifer Torres. I am 26 yrs old and am currently the stay at home mom of my 22 month old daughter. I am looking for a child care position where I can bring my daughter with me. She is a sweet girl who loves story time, drawing, and trips to the park and would make a great playmate. I am very hands on and enjoy involving children in story time, crafts, trips to the park, etc.. I am also willing to prepare meals for children, do light cleaning, and schedule outings. I have my own transportation and a clean driving record. I have a very flexible schedule. I would consider myself a warm, caring, and responsible person.
Most important aspect of the job:	Safety and fun come first. I would never cut corners with my child or anyone else's. It is important to create a safe environment where children can play and learn. It is important to me that playing and learning go hand in hand. I am not one to put a child in front of the t.v. . It's important to engage children in imaginary play, reading, and crafts, etc..
Most rewarding:	Being a mom has been the most rewarding job of my life. Smiles and giggles make up for all the hardships of caring for a child. It is so rewarding to watch a child progress and grow and feel sfe, secure, and loved.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	In these situations patience is key. Crying is usually due to being hungry, tired, or being in some sort of discomfort(missing their parent included). All of these things are easy enough to fix by taking action and being soothing. As for meal and nap problems...it is only natural for children to assert their will from time to time. Patience and understanding goes a long way in these situations while still holding your ground as the adult in charge. I don't believe that yelling or ever laying you
