Information about me: Well, I'm 16 and I'll be going into my Jr year of high school when the summers over. I've never babysat before but I did pass first aid my freshmen year and Child Development this past year with an A. I've also looked after my younger brother when my mother and older siblings weren't around so I do know what to expect. I love taking care of younger kids and hearing all the funny things they have to say. I can also make up rhythm games, help with homework, and I'm very energetic.
Most important aspect of the job: The safety of the kids.
Most rewarding: When I see that the kids are happy and having fun.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap? Talking to them calmly and giving them an option, such as you can take a nap now or in 10 minuets. Or asking them questions like what's wrong, and why they spilled the food.
