Information about me:	I’m 24, and have been working as a Nanny for eight years, and have been a live-in nanny for six years now. I grew up in a big family, and was always surrounded by children. I taught Sunday school in my church for two years, and have been a very active volunteer in an elementary school as well. I’m easy going, fun loving, kind hearted and caring. I’m very artistic, and love to sketch, paint, play piano and read. I very much enjoy being outside and encourage outdoor play.
Most important aspect of the job:	I’m a huge believer that a child’s environment should be safe, fun, and educational. It’s really important to me to keep the kids moving and playing, especially hands on play that encourages growth, and stimulates their mind.
Most rewarding:	The most rewarding thing for me is to see is a child absorbing and learning, and being proud of the things they have accomplished. Being a part of that is the most rewarding part of the job for me.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	I am a very patient person, and it has never been difficult for me to deal with crying, spitting out food, and refusing to nap. If the crying is the result of a tantrum, depending on age and what caused it you have many routes on how to handle the situation. If an infant is crying and all other possible needs have been ruled out, just hold and comfort the child. (Something that I know can go on for a long time!) Additional Info:	I’ve been a nanny for eight years. The first two years were part time for family with a two and a five year old. The last six years have been spent as a live-in nanny for a family with an eight and ten year old. I started working for them when the kids were two and four, and it’s been amazing being such a big part of their lives. Watching them learn and grow all these years has been so wonderful. For the last whole school year while the kids that I live with were in school I worked for another
