Information about me:	i have been an EMT for 2 years, i am currently studying to be an RN at new england tech. i am cpr certified and also instruct CPR. i am 21 years old and very concerned with my studies... i am not your typical college party girl at all. i am very enthusiastic and outgoing and have yet to have a child hate me (which means im doing things right!) i have experience with infants, toddlers and school age children and also children with special needs.
Most important aspect of the job:	i do enjoy interacting and playing with kids and making them smile and enjoy their time with me
Most rewarding:	the most rewarding thing about being an EMT is the cases where i actually helped someone live from interventions i have done and the patients family is very happy.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	i usually try and get to the childs level and speak with them about what is wrong and possible try and help them out. if a child is being bad and the parents practice it i will put the child in timeout of take away tv or video games, only if the parents are ok with me punishing them. i will never hit or scream at a child!

Additional Info:	weekends and evenings are best for me... i am in school til around 3pm on 4 days of the week, sometimes im out earlier, i also work but it is no later than 5 pm, and i only work around 4 days a week.
