Information about me:	Hello, my name is Nicole. I am a 33 year old, stay at home, mother of 2 beautiful daughters (ages 18 months and 6 months, as of October 2011). I am going through a divorce and need to make my own money for myself and my girls. The best way I think would be able to babysit during the week, so I can have the opportunity to remain at home with my girls. I have always loved kids and I also think it would be great socialization for my children as well as yours.
Most important aspect of the job:	The most important aspect of my job is the constant interaction with my children, as well as it would be with yours. I love to color, sing songs, teach manners, counting, being kind to animals (I have a wonderful boxer mix, which I have taught my girls to be kind to and respect and in return she loves to run around and play with my girls, even at this young age).
Most rewarding:	The most rewarding things that stand out above all others are, when my older daughter learns something that I have taught her and when I sing her songs she claps for me with a huge smile that just makes my heart melt!! I love seeing children being able to act silly as children should.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	Well, constant crying is difficult, I know first hand, as both my girls had severe colic. It really depends on age and the ability of the child to understand the situation. With a young child you would of course run down the list to make sure there is nothing serious going on (hungry, soiled diaper, fever, gas, etc., if all else checks out you try to hold and comfort them. If you get frustrated you may need to put the child in a safe place for 2-3 mins and gather your thoughts so you don't get f

Additional Info:	I would prefer to watch another child in my home, as I already have everything here for my girls, available to another child as well. Also, if my dog is a concern or issue she is crate trained and happily hangs out in there. I have no problem doing that. I would also really love to meet other mothers to build friendships with. None of my friends in this area have children, which makes it harder to relate to them.
