Information about me:	My name is Rachel Gause, I am 19 years old and a freshman at CCRI. I am majoring in Special Ed Early Education and would love to work with kids from pre-k to first grade. I have four sisters which are all in college or beyond. I live and grew up most of my life in westerly, RI and plan on living here after college.
Most important aspect of the job:	Being safe would be the most important aspect of any job dealing with children. Along with safety would be having fun. Children learn most while playing and experiencing new things which corresponds with having fun.
Most rewarding:	I find that working with the kids doing everyday activities is rewarding in itself. I love working with kid because their perspective of life is so different then everyone else’s. I find it to be an enjoyable job.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	I feel that patience is the best way to handle any situation. There is always a reason behind a child’s frustration and at certain ages it is hard for them to express that feeling.

Additional Info:	I currently work as a gymnastics coach at the local YMCA on Saturday mornings with children ranging from the ages of 4 to 11. I also babysat frequently for a single mother and also family friends all around the year.
