Information about me:	Hi, my name is Brittany and I am 30 years young. I am a bubbly, happy person that loves spending time with children. I am not afraid to be silly to get a giggle or two from any child and have never met a child that hasn't warmed up to me very quickly. I live a very stable, non smoking lifestyle and have been happily married for 10 years now. I love being outside, hiking, exploring, fishing, canoeing but I also enjoy curling up with a good book, cooking, and listening to music.
Most important aspect of the job:	When a parent leaves their child/children in my care I feel that it is exremely important for me to do anything and everything possible to keep their children safe, healthy, and as happy as possible. I am a very responsible person and have an organized personality type so I find being dependable to be very easy for me. I have always been a caregiver and I love taking care of others, but I know how to be firm when it is necessary.
Most rewarding:	Giggling, happy, children!! There is no better sight than a happy child :) I also find it really rewarding to put a parent's mind a ease by being the very best caregiver I can be!
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	If there isn't a "discpline" plan in place by the parents then I refer to my supernanny based techniques. First step is to get down on the child's level to help open up the line of communication, then issue a warning and give explination for the warning. Next, I would follow through with a time out *1 minute per year of childs age. However, I know from time to time children have tantrums or meltdowns so I believe it must be dealt with on a case to case basis. Usually either letting the child exp
