Information about me:	My name is Allie, I am 19 years old turning 20 in July. I love music. I love being around family especially my brother and sister. My brother is 6 years old and my sister is 3 months. I like to have fun and be creative and try new things.
Most important aspect of the job:	I think the most important aspect of the job is taking care of the child to the best of your ability including keeping him/her safe. Treating it almost like it is your own and asking yourself how you would like someone to take care of the child if it was yours. Making sure that you are following the parents rules and guidelines and respecting how they want their child to be treated.
Most rewarding:	The most rewarding part would definetly be the relationship you build over time caring for that child. Watching it grow. A child does something new every day and its enjoyable for me to watch it grow and pick up everyday skills. Another plus is knowing that you are helping someone, meaning the parent and taking a little weight off of someones shoulders.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	I feel like the key to messes like those is patience. Understanding that a kid doesn't understand to the level that a adult would. Also realizing that things won't be so frusterating if you don't make such a big deal out of it. A little spitting or crying isn't the end of the world.

Additional Info:	I participated in programs in my highschool that involved taking care of childeren and disabled kids my age. One of the programs was to be a mentor at Charlestown Elementary School in North East, MD. I tutored kids individually in a first grade class for the year. The second program was called "Best Buddies" where I worked with disabled kids in our school.
