Information about me:	I am a predental student at Portland State University and I am paying my own way through school. In my free time, I love to hang out with my family, go hiking and biking, read and crochet. I have a lot of siblings and nieces and nephews so I have really grown to love children and have 5 years of experience with infants through preteens, twins, and multiple children at one time.
Most important aspect of the job:	The most important aspect of my job would be the safety of the children that I am watching. I give them my full attention and make sure to have lots of fun while still being safe.
Most rewarding:	I love the way that kids look at life with excitement and curiosity! I love their potential and willingness to learn new things. I find it so rewarding to be able to teach children things, whether it's walking, playing a game, or reading, and to be able to watch them grow up and learn things on their own as well.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	Having seven siblings and many nieces and nephews, along with more formal experience, I have learned to be calm and patient in chaos. I deal with common frustrations by staying calm so that the children realize that I am not going to "break", for lack of a better word, just because they are throwing a tantrum. I think by staying calm, a level of respect is built, and they will calm down as well.
