Information about me:	I have 35 yrs. experience in caring for children. I am CPR and First Aid Certified, fully vaccinated, and have both Ohio and FBI background checks that were up-to-date until Nov. 2011 available. Both of these were updated on Feb. 24, 2012. I have cared for children as young as 1 1/2 days old; she was a preemie. I am experienced in feeding, bathing, and potty-training. I enjoy reading to children and teaching them their colors, shapes, ABC's, numbers, arts & crafts, etc. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking children for walks, wagon and/or stroller rides, and to the playground. I like to play on the playground equipment with them. I am very safety oriented although a tomboy at heart. I plan on taking swimming lessons in the spring and am looking into getting my BA in Early Childhood Education Administration online. I love children and animals and have 2 dogs of my own. I also used to operate a rescue for dogs and cats. I have no problem in assisting with basic housekeeping and cooking
Most important aspect of the job:	Caring for children, helping them learn and grow, and keeping them safe.
Most rewarding:	Watching children learn and grow and knowing that I was a part of it and getting their sweet smiles and hugs.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	It definitely takes alot of love and patience. I try to comfort them, redirect them, and get them involved with a fun physical activity to wear them out.

Additional Info:	My speciality is caring for newborns through 4 years of age. I am my happiest and most content when I am working with children and animals. I eventually (in a few years) plan on operating a daycare out of my home.
