Information about me: I am a current part-time student at Montgomery County Community College. I hope to be transferring to Messiah College in August of 2012. I am a fun-loving, caring, genuine person. I am the baby of my family and love younger children who I can care for like an older sister. I am a performer of music and theatre. I play guitar and piano. I am also a photographer.
Most important aspect of the job: Showing love and making sure that the children have early knowledge of proper behavior.
Most rewarding: Building bonds with the children and watching them develop into their own personalities.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap? It's important to keep myself calm in those situations so that the child does not get the idea that they are having an impact on my attitude. I believe in disciplining children when discipline is called for, but showing them love at the same time.
