I would like to care for: Infant, Toddler, Preschool, School, Preteen, Teen
Desired Rate: 10.00/Hour. Rate is non-negotiable
Information about me: I'm currently a freshman at Butler Community College. I am planning on majoring in Speech and Language Pathology in order to work with kindergarten age children.
Most important aspect of the job: I absolutely love being around kids. I think that being around kids brings out the little kid we all forget we have inside of us.
Most rewarding: I love when I can teach a child something or do something with them that they enjoy. It's the best thing to see their faces light up with they're having fun.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap? I would first try to figure out the cause of the crying and then decide what I can do to solve it. As far as spitting out food I would wait a little while and then try to feed the child again. If a child was refusing to nap I would attemp to lay them down and read a story or some other activity to calm them down.
