Information about me:	My name is Ashley Blevins and I'm a 16 yr old female from the Birmingham area. I attend Ramsay Alternative High School, which is a college preparatory school, and I'm currently an 11th grader. I'm in the symphonic orchestra at school as well as drama club. I love children and I'm very patient with them. I enjoy listening to music, reading, writing, talking on the phone, and just being a responsible teenager. I make good choices and think about the consequences of actions before I act on them
Most important aspect of the job:	The most important aspect of my job would have to be the development of the child. A child's childhood is the most important time of their lives because this is where they develop all their skills that will help them later on in life. I love to help them with their homework so parents won't have to worry about them getting away with not doing their homework.
Most rewarding:	The most rewarding thing about my job would have to be when it is time for the child to leave or time for me to go home, the look on the child's face as they would break down and cry just from seeing me walk out the door. I promise that if you leave your child with me, they won't want to leave or want me to leave.
How do you deal with common frustrations such as incessant crying, spitting out food or refusing to nap?	I pick them up and rock them and talk to them softly and look at them to see if there is a visible problem as to why they are beahving this way. If I don't see any visible complications I would try again. If I fail a second time I would contact the parent and notify them of the behavior and find out what needs to be done.
